Post-Game Update 9-26

The New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a hard fought matchup 29-16. The Giants were able to play tough defense and get some timely plays against the talented Eagles squad. QB Mike Vick went out of the game with an injured right hand and his replacement Mike Kafka was unable to mount a comeback, instead throwing 2 interceptions.

Madden Notes - Look for Giants LB J. Williams and WR V. Cruz to get big boosts after solid games.

Make sure to slide with QB Mike Vick to protect him as he is the biggest threat in Madden NFL 12

- The biggest shocker of the day came from Buffalo, NY. The Bills forced QB Tom Brady into throwing 4 interceptions which matched his total from ALL of last season! Brady also had 4 Touchdowns, but in the end, Buffalo made enough big Plays to get the win. Fred Jackson was able to take a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick all the way down to the Patriots 1 yard line. This allowed Buffalo to run out the clock and kick a GW FG as time expired. The surprise Bills now lead the AFC East with a 3-0 record and talk of an undefeated season are over for New England.

Madden Notes- Buffalo fell behind by 3 scores early but slowly marched back and stuck with their gameplan.

Wes Welker had 16 catches and over 200+ yards for New England, you want to add a user defender in his area next game.

- Cam Newton and the Panthers got a late TD pass to take out the Jaguars 16-10 in Carolina. The Panthers new weapon, TE Greg Olson hauled in the pass that gave Carolina the lead. Jacksonville battled hard in the rainy conditions getting a long TD before the end of the half. Blaine Gabbert got his first start and threw for a TD in his debut.

- Madden Notes - In Rainy conditions, the players are effected on passing routes, look to run the ball more.

- The Saints rallied twice in the fourth quarter to defeat the Texans in a shootout 40-33. Mark Ingram scored his first career TD with a go ahead score in the 4th quarter. Matt Schaub had a great day throwing for over 370+ yards and 3 TD's. Houston was unable to rally late however and drops to 2-1.

-Madden Notes - Work on your redzone offense as it is a different area of the field. Houston got FG's on 4 drives, if they scored TD's on half of those, they win the game. Work on fades to big targets like Andre Johnson.

The Packers were able get a big win in Soldier Field against their rival Chicago Bears. This replay of the NFC Championship game saw Aaron Rodgers had a great day by completing 28 passes, but he did give the Bears a chance when he was intercepted by Brian Urlacher.

The Bears offense was unable to capitalize on the turnover and they lost the battle 27-17.

Madden Notes - A Big Target like Finley can be an enormous weapon in the red zone. Look to lead the ball high and allow him to go get it.

Finley is too fast for a LB and too big for a defensive back to cover!

Other Madden Notes - Torrey Smith with 3 TD's in the 1st Quarter for Baltimore! Guy is a Madden stud with that speed adding a nice element to the Baltimore offense.

Oakland was able to get an amazing performance from star Madden NFL back Darren McFadden. His elite speed and power combo was on display against a talented Jets D!  Jason Campbell did a good job controlling this game.

Detroit battled back by getting the ball to Calvin Johnson. Even when double covered, this player has the size to go over defenders and haul in important passes.

Josh Freeman was able to use his legs to get into the endzone and drop the Falcons to 1-2. Atlanta was unable to get its powerful offense into the endzone enough to win.
